About the Publisher

Dan Stuenzi, J.D., Publisher and Managing Editor, is a retired attorney who for nearly 20 years built a successful private practice in the Chicago area by working closely with financial and insurance advisors. Dan retired in 2009 from the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, where he served for more than 10 years in a variety of roles, including Chief Operating Officer. He is a popular lecturer, and a contributing author and editor of several books and articles for the public and for the professions.

In addition to his roles in estate planning, Dan also has nearly 20 years of experience as a freelance writer and editor. Dan was a contributing author in the very first contributory book Legacy: Plan, Protect, and Preserve Your Estate (The Institute, 1996) and served as managing editor for THE PRACTICE: Creating, Growing, and Maintaining a Successful, Client-Centered Estate Planning Law Firm; The Complete Guide to Estate & Financial Planning in Turbulent Times; and Being in Business is a Funny Thing - Getting Out is Not!
 
Dan is also a licensed real estate broker, and the owner of Omaha Buyer's Broker, LLC in Omaha, Nebraska - an advisory and consulting company that serves real estate buyers and investors exclusively.

WILLIAM "BILL" L. EXETER is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC; Exeter Fiduciary Services, LLC; Exeter IRA Services, LLC; and their affiliate companies. Mr. Exeter is based in the company's national corporate headquarters located in San Diego, California.
 
Mr. Exeter has been in the fiduciary services industry since 1980. He began specializing in real estate tax strategies in 1986 with a specialty emphasis in 1031 and 1033 Exchanges as well as Self-Directed IRAs. Scot serves as a Senior Instructor with the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice, teaching an integrated wealth management program for financial advisors.

PETER B. SCOTT, JD, LL.M. (Tax), CFP®,is an estate planning and business planning attorney practicing with Keeth-Scott Law Group, Loveland, Colorado and Denver, Colorado. He has been engaged in the active practice of law for over thirty-five years. MELVIN J. WERNIMONT, PhD, is a Founder and Partner with Transtrata, LLC. Mel's academic background includes a PhD in Psycyhology from Iowa State University, and he is regarded as a top-rated trainer and facilitator. He is very well received in national and international audiences, and in businesses ranging from start-ups to multi-million dollar per year companies.
 
As a consultant, he is particularly adept at team building - helping owner and management groups become teams.
